We would like to introduce you to our very special hotel on Lake Millstatt. “The Romantic House” is part of our name – see for yourself the successful implementation of the appearance of an old country estate. Since early summer 2023, this has also referred to the nearby nature park, which was already the first figurehead of the regional tourism in 1880. It was redesigned, the main attraction is the old lookout tower over the lake shore.

We have created a covered, video-monitored parking area for motorbikes and (e-)bikes, with divided parking areas and high-quality bicycle racks. There are also lockers with a power connection for charging the batteries.
A limited number of protected places are available and can be reserved as an additional product when booking the room (for a fee).

on Millstatt, the mountains and the lake!
Millstatt’s public webcam is located in the tower roof of our house. Through their eyes you have the approximate perspective of the place and the beautiful surroundings, as you can enjoy them mostly from our rooms. Depending on the weather and the time of day, a wide variety of moods are created here, framed by the lake and the mountains. This preferred location is certainly one of the strengths of this house.

In the rustic vaulted cellar of our house there is a great restaurant, which is based on a medieval tavern. This is where our house evenings take place from time to time.
This special room can also be rented and is suitable as an impressive backdrop for private events or company celebrations for small and medium-sized groups.

Originally belonging to the Benedictine Abbey as a military court, during the era of the Georg Knights the building became a private noble residence, later a primitive Jesuit farmhouse. From the 1950s, the successive conversion into a family-run guest board began.
The old Romanesque building is equipped with modern facilities: solar system, central heating, shower / WC, SAT-TV, WiFi… The lovingly renovated rooms characterize this romantic hotel.
