How to find us

Despite widespread navigation technology, we give you the tried and tested route description here. Whichever means of transport you choose – the Maier family wishes you a safe journey and look forward to your arrival.
Tip: if you book via this site, you will receive an up-to-date list of upcoming events and programs in our region, as well as information about check-in times, a few days before departure.

1. By car
   Via the A 10 Tauern autobahn, exit at the Spittal/Millstätter See junction. From here it is only 7 km to our house.
   4 x left! At the traffic light, turn left onto the B 98, approx. 7 km through the town of Seeboden and along the lake shore. In Millstatt take the first left turn lane (Helgolandstrasse), approx. 250 m uphill and at the end turn left into Alexanderhofstrasse. The 3rd house on the left – Welcome!
   A spacious private parking lot is at your disposal.
2. By train
   At the small Spittal-Millstätter See train station, taxis or buses are readily available (journey intervals are sometimes limited). From here it is about 10 km to Millstatt. The Strandbad bus stop is approx. 400 m away – if you notify us in advance, we will be happy to pick you up there.
   ATTENTION: Under the title “the last mile” there is a public shuttle service from the train station. Here you can organize your connections in advance: Shuttle Service
3.  By plane
   There are some cheap flights to Klagenfurt Airport (90 km away) – it is best to rent a car there. Information on flights is available here
   You can also fly to the following airports for your holiday in Carinthia:
   – Ljubljana (125 km),
   – Salzburg (150 km),
   – Graz (215 km),
   – Trieste (215 km),
   – Linz (280 km),
   – Venice (290 km),
   – Munich (300 km)

Arrival at Staudacher Hof – what now?
Enter our small courtyard and take the steps straight up to reception. If this is not occupied, you can reach us via a wall telephone. Should you arrive at an unusual time of day or be late, please let us know in advance – thank you!

After the greeting, we record the personal data of all guests for the registration office in accordance with the law. At least the main registered person should have a travel document at hand. You save some time if you send your registration data from home via our inquiry mail.

As an introduction to our “house customs” you will receive some information before we accompany you to your reserved room. On request, we are happy to help with your luggage, and we are also happy to answer any further questions you may have.
A self-service fridge with drinks is available if you are thirsty for travel.
You can use our hotel WiFi for free, you will receive the password on request.
